Here is a collection of my "whimsical surrealism" paintings of the desert, space, Catalina, the Mediterranean, and a few other places. I paint with acrylic paint on canvases that I build, sometimes in odd shapes.
Most of these images are available as limited edition giclees, on canvas. Feel free to contact me at snakejagger1@aol.com for inquiries about sizes and prices.

I have been drawing and painting since I was six years of age. Without any formal training, I guess you can say I am a self taught artist. And though I dabbled in art throughout my life, I did not get serious about it until I was about 25 or so. I have since developed my own unique style of portraying the desert southwest that I have come to love. My early influence's include such masters as Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Hart Benton, and modern influences such as Peter Max, Noble Richardson, MC Echer, and my personal favorite, Rene Magritte.
These days I spend a lot of time doing what I love to do, creating my manicured landscapes, incorporating a touch of whimsy and surrealism. Along with the desert, I enjoy painting space scapes and scenes with a Mediterranean flavor, like regions such as the Greek islands or Vineyards of Tuscany.
My work can be viewed by going to my web site at snakejagger.com.
I hope you enjoy my visions of the desert landscape that I call home.
