Since early childhood I have always been enamored with trees. Etched in my memories are many blissful days exploring the wonders of the natural world. I would take delight in simple pleasures such as finding the perfect tree to climb that would offer a suitable place to view distant horizons not seen from my earthbound perspective. Nestled high in my special tree the world looked different to me, my very thoughts were transposed and time seemed suspended. Everything seemed new and possible . . . my thoughts traveled outward over far away hills to remote and unexplored places.
