Chris Meigh-Andrews is an artist, writer and curator and Professor of Electronic & Digital Art at the University of Central Lancashire who has been exhibiting his video work internationally since 1978. His sculptural and site-specific installations often feature direct relationships with the natural environment and the harnessing of renewable energy systems. Recent curatorial projects include "Yes, Snow Show" at the British Film Institute, London and "Analogue: Pioneering Artists’ Video from the UK, Canada and Poland (1968-88)", a major touring retrospective exhibition (London, Liverpool, Norwich, Warsaw, New York, Toronto, Ottawa, Valletta and Berlin. His book, "A History of Video Art: the Development of Technology and Form", published by Berg (Oxford & New York, 2006) provides an overview of the development of video as an art form since its inception in the early 1960’s.
