The original book Sketch of LONGMONT COLO was published by the Longmont Board of Trade, Ledger Publishing Company and was given, sometime around 1886, "Compliments of Longmont Board of Trade" to Amos Millice , a Longmont Pioneer who took a membership in the Chicago Colorado Colony. "Sketch of Longmont" was then passed to his daughter Irene (Millice) Baller Webb, eventually passing to her daughter Glendora (Baller) Yeager and finally to her children, Janet, Clarke and Corwyn. The book deteriorated and was photo copied. Later from the photo copies the pages were restored as best they could be and now re-published through Blurb to retain the history for our family and others.
This restoration of our treasured book has been completed by Janet (Yeager) Boespflug born and raised in Longmont and now residing in Arvada, Colorado. Since the family would not have had this treasured information without Amos Millice Jan has added information about Amos Millice in the front of the book. Thanks to the Ledger Publishing Company for publishing this historic book, the history and this opportunity left behind. I hope you will enjoy this bit of history and going back in time.
