Informazioni sul libro
Kosciuszko National Park in southern New South Wales is the largest park in the state and includes nine wilderness areas, is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and listed under the National Heritage Register. The park not only houses all of the New South Wales ski resort villages but is a place of great natural beauty. It not only is a great winter destination for skiers,
snowboarders and the like but Kosciuszko and the wider Snowy Mountains
region can also be a fantastic summer destination in its own right.
Bushwalks, mountain biking, canoeing, horse riding and 4wding are just some of the persuits on offer in the summer months, without the
maddening crowds that inevitably come during the winter snow season.
In this guide we explore the southern section of Kosciuszko National Park centred around the main road access points of Kosciuszko Road, Alpine Way and Tooma Road into the more remote central section of the park.
You will require a NSW National Parks Pass to access most of the attractions listed in this guide. These are available at the Visitor Information Centre at Jindabyne, the parks office at Khancoban, entrance gates on Kosciuszko Road and the Alpine Way or online at nationalparks.nsw.gov.au
