Photographs of the beautiful garden of Bonnie Reid Martin in August 2009 were taken by well published photographer, Carolyn L. Bates . Bonnie's talent for wonderful colors for the hot sun gardens, as well as cooler colors for her shade gardens is showcased in hand designed pages by Carolyn. Look for this historic house's main porch and Bonnie's sitting garden with their magnificent views of the high mountains near her house.

Carolyn L. Bates, photographer, has lived and worked in Burlington, Vermont since 1973. Now, being able to publish her own work, she is working on her fifth book. She thanks many people for their input on which photos to put where, including intern Alex Vitzthum. Many thanks to Bonnie Reid Martin, who honored her by buying the winning raffle ticket for this book, thus helping to sponsor children's programs at the Flynn Center in Burlington, Vermont.
