Although, this is a journal that is given as part of a backpack through The Backpack Project, Inc., it is a great book to be enjoyed by any child...a terrific purchase to encourage daily writing.

The Backpack Project is a non-profit charitable organization (501(c) 3 application pending) devoted to addressing the educational supply needs of area children in underserved communities throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. We provide backpacks to children in need of assistance in grades pre-k through 6th. These backpacks provide a symbol of hope, encouragement and boosts self-esteem. Every child should be fully equipped and ready to learn on the first day of school. It is our goal to fulfill this fundamental need.
