The Holga is a toy camera made entirely of plastic. Enthusiasts favor the effects created when using this medium format device. Surrendering total control to the Holga, I chose to leave my light meter, tripod and view camera behind allowing pure creativity and chance to combine. The result is a stunning body of work. High contrast black and white warps time. Vignetting and splatters of light transport the viewer into a different era. The modern day world is almost forgotten. All that is left is a vintage impression seemingly from a long over decade. From multiple film stocks to unpredictable light leaks this series lives up to its name being a true experiment.

I heard so much about that camera! your pictures are amazing... you prove that it is not the equipment that makes a great photographer, but the eye! I voted for you, if you have a minute, check out my book Woman and vote for it if you like it.

Lorraine, Your photography, layout and background is very artistic. I voted for it. Curiously my son and his partner have just bought a Holga and are heading to Spain and Portugal today. I;ll ask them to have a look for inspiration and to vote! Thanks for looking at my book Shoo Scram Scat! I'm trying to get ideas on ways to improve the way I match photography colours with background and borders. Art and colours are not my strong point.
