This is a 50-image collection highlighting the landscape in the northwest corner of Arizona (south and east of the Colorado River): where the Colorado River exits the Grand Canyon into Lake Mead.
Overshadowed by the Canyon and unseen from most of the lake, the Grand Wash Cliffs define the western edge of the Colorado Plateau. Area visitors and residents have long enjoyed the austere beauty of the Cliffs (the plural is correct) but for many tourists now visiting Grand Canyon West's Skywalk, the area remains a quick-glimpse from a tour-bus window. Here are some of the Cliffs' many moods in all seasons for everyone to enjoy.
