Once again, we’ll be supporting this incredible event. The festival takes over the city of Toronto and it’s well worth checking out the schedule. One happening not to miss is Robert Leslie’s exhibit at Ed Burtynsky’s Toronto Image Works Gallery from May 2 to June 4.

The exhibit uses photographs, moving images, and audio to depict Leslie’s 8,000-kilometer journey through the US – a journey that began on the day that Obama entered the White House. The ebook and monograph in exhibit are published by Blurb and edited by Chris Boot, director of the Aperture Foundation. We’ll be hosting the opening on May 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and would love to see you there.

What was Pop-Up Live all about you ask? Imagine a live magazine where everything takes place in real time, on stage. Nothing is printed or documented via photos/video. The agenda and speakers were all a surprise. Even the sponsor advertisements were acted out on stage. Pretty cool. The only documented version of the event can be found in a Blurb book. Awesome.

It was so fun to connect with 3,000+ of San Francisco's finest. We feel honored to have been a part of this magical night.

Another gorgeous week spent in sunny Palm Springs. The week was filled with portfolio reviews, workshops, nightly symposiums, seminars, networking dinners, and evening slide show presentations. Blurb took over a suite at the Hyatt for the week where we showcased books, hosted meetings, and demos. It was nice to be able to take the time to really chat with the attendees and faculty. Bolt | Peters and Blurb presented the first ever one-day conference dedicated to mobile and iPhone® photography.

The 1197 conference was the brainchild of two Instagram-addicted photography nerds, Nate Bolt and Jessica Zollman, who teamed up with Blurb to put together this killer event. Their fascination with the way iPhonegraphy and mobile phone photography is changing photography and the use of mobile devices, both for work and play, inspired the day’s events.
