Chicago has long been home, where my husband and I met, raised our sons, and now dote on our cat. We live in the Hyde Park neighborhood between Lake Michigan and the University of Chicago campus - a great place for inspiration and things to do.

I wrote the novel A Mile of Mayhem (as Jilly Langlan) and self-published it while helping my husband through cancer. Great literature? No. But it was cathartic and I've been told it's a fun read. (Oncologists, politicians and vampires.) I've also self-published High Voltage (novella) and "Listen to the Flowers" (picture book). "Roadkill Rhymes for 4th Graders" will be released soon.
