Informazioni sul libro
When photographer Lisa Barlow stopped traveling in 2020, she documented the strangeness of the year and the closeness of her family from her home in Brooklyn. "This is a story of how I experienced the pandemic," she writes. "What amazes me is that every single person on this earth has their own story to tell. Most disasters occur to select groups of people. This one has affected us all. We each have our own relationships to masks and Clorox and hand sanitizer, to hospitals, grocery stores and graveyards. In some places, life is a new normal. In others, unbearable sadness is still occurring. You will bring your own memories to these pictures. I did not include photographs of the friends I lost, but my memories of them are present throughout the book. It is more than likely that you are all mourning somebody too. May we all hold each other close."
