A Carolling Christmas: A Shepherd Boy's King is a collection of carols and songs for the Christmas season, featuring the author's own Singalong Part markings for instant singalong fun at gatherings large and small.

Madeleine Mills enjoyed singing Christmas carols so much that she began hosting Advent singalongs in High School for friends and family. To make it more fun to sing so many songs at a party, she started making lyric books with favorite songs of the season, dividing the lyrics into Red, Blue, and Green singing parts according to voices, and the story in a song. The instant choral results with the different vocal parts were so beautiful, even the pianist (her mother) loved hearing the resulting songs.

A Shepherd Boy's King is her first themed collection of her Christmas Singalong Part markings, this time with both Trio and Duo parts marked. It's theme is a child's view of the first Christmas, and is filled with songs children love, interspersed with Bible readings that focus on a shepherd boy's view of that first Christmas, and the arrival of the Good Shepherd.
