Forgettable Memories is a visual record of nights that slip away even as they unfold. Set inside the world of college parties and fraternity houses, this photo book captures fleeting moments that are both loud and quiet, chaotic and still. The images are candid. Faces turn away from the lens, lost in laughter, movement, or thought. Scattered throughout are handwritten notes and confessions. Unfiltered fragments of truth written in the blur of alcohol, music, and impulse.
These are the memories made under dim lights and overfilled cups, in rooms thick with energy and uncertainty. There is beauty in the way people come undone, how walls fall after a few drinks, how strangers become temporary confidants. And yet, much of it fades. The rituals of party culture often feel exaggerated or cliché, but within them are real emotions, real regrets, real desires. This book leans into that contradiction. It does not judge or explain. It simply collects what is left behind. the laughter, the mistakes, the hookups, the honesty, the noise, and the silence. These are the memories we forget, and the ones that quietly shape us.
After working on this project for so long making the smallest tweaks and movements to these photos coming back to the scanner so often to scan and rescan these random objects and writing from the grease and grime of these parties. Picking and choosing through over 2,000 photos narrowing them down and down again to finally getting my select photos and creating what I say would be some of my most memorable work. People will most likely not take a second glance at this book, they will look through the first couple photos and laugh. But Hopefully they take their time with it, look into each page and the details that the individual photos have. These photos have so much meaning to me and everyone in them, but that is not the point of this book. It’s to capture without judgement these forgettable moments.
