Raw Optics is a collection of street photography captured across the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Italy. The photographer sets out to hunt opportunity yet waits patiently for it to reveal itself. Although unable to engage directly with subjects, there is a persistent search for connection through careful observation and framing of the world around them. Inspired by the photographer’s partner and dedicated to friends, family, and a late grandmother, this book is a personal exploration of distance, presence, the subtle relationships between people and their environments, and the endurance to find those moments.
