Since I first took a vacation In the beautiful city of Bordeaux in the South West of France in 2004 I have become ever more eager to return and did so four times until 2015. I have explored all the nooks and crannies of the city and used their railway station to visit even more places in the region and beyond. In this humorous book I share happy and difficult moments where I was plagued with blisters and urgent moments where I couldn't wait to find a toilet. Overall my love of French living shines through and how I managed by staying in budget hotels and realising I couldn't afford to eat out every evening. I hope you enjoy being by my side while I attempt to be French.

I run the popular theatre website www.eastmidlandstheatre.com which promotes theatre and shows in the East Midlands (and beyond) as well as reviewing and mentoring other reviewers on my team. My books on Blurb represent my love of writing about certain parts of my life such as working for a big supermarket chain (Supermarket Creatures) and witty stories about travelling on public transport (The Total Joys of Travelling On Public Transport). My most recent book is my biggest to date and is Scouting For Monty Python. A childhood journey in the 1960s and 1970s when I reluctantly joined the Cubs and The Scouts.
