This story began in a series of conversations around the dinner table involving my parents. This is a spoken history about my family who survived the Armenian genocide during the years of 1910 through 1918 and of their life until 1991.
Between 1915 and 1923, more than one and a half million Armenians were murdered in what has been described by the international community as the first genocide of the twentieth century.
During 1910 through 1918 the people of Armenian and Greek descent were under the rule of the Turkish Government known as the Young Turks . Masses of Armenians suffered torture, brutality, and deportation-yet the story of these people has been heard little.
