Anyone who truly enjoys driving will eventually find themselves on an organised road tour. Over the years we have joined many of them, travelling some wonderful roads and discovering some remarkable places across Europe. Yet we often came away thinking that, as good as they were, something was missing.
Some tours placed the driving above everything else, but treated the hotels as somewhere simply to sleep before the next morning's start. Others excelled at fine dining and beautiful accommodation, while the driving became little more than a means of getting from one lunch stop to the next. We began to wonder whether it was possible to have both.
That simple question became the starting point for Club Monza.
Rather than creating another driving tour, we wanted to curate a collection of Europe's greatest hits: roads that every enthusiast should experience at least once, paired with exceptional places to stay, memorable restaurants, exclusive factory visits and the kind of hospitality that quietly exceeds expectations without ever trying too hard. From the sweeping coastal bends of Croatia's Magistrala to the switchbacks of the Dolomites, from Michelin-starred kitchens to some of Europe's finest hotels, every element was chosen because it deserved its place.
If there is a philosophy behind Club Monza, it is perhaps best summed up in four words:
