This book is rooted in a single night in Chiang Mai an eventful, formative experience that provides the narrative foundation for the work. Although the story centres on that particular night and Several days after, the photographs were taken over the course of three weeks spent in the Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai regions. They represent the broader context of that period: the places I moved through, the atmosphere of the northern provinces, and the impressions that shaped my understanding of the experience. While all photographs do not originate from the night itself, they belong to the same span of time and serve to illuminate the environment in which the events unfolded.
