Written by award-winning journalist and artist, Christine McCray Bethea, Geek Art/ Green Innovators Pittsburgh's First Eco, Art, Technology Festival, features pictorial highlights of this premiere Pittsburgh art event. As part of the United Nations World Environment Day, GA/GI (GAH-Gee) as it became known, showcased the Penn Avenue Arts District and the "Unblurred" monthly art crawl in the urban communities of Bloomfield/Garfield/Friendship through the lenses of several noted and amateur photographers. This book lays out the origins as well as the vision of founder Christine McCray Bethea whose mission was to create an event where ecology and technology could network in an artistic and public setting. GA/GI served over 300 artists local and national, dozens of tech start-ups. and 7 universities including the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.

Christine Bethea has worked in the arts and special events fields for over fifteen years, earning the Beacon of Hope Award for Economic Development Through the Arts; and her organization Passports : The Art Diversity Project co-founded by Brenda Brown was designed to increase opportunities for local artists. This past summer, Passports was recognized for Arts and Business Collaborations by the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council.
