This is my first, and very likely my last novel. It started as a loose collection of ideas, and after a few false starts and fits of enthusiasm, all 60,000 words are now finished. Strange sort of theme, and very loose research, but it kept me amused. It's also more expensive than I'd envisaged, but at least there's the the e-book. If you do read it, I'd love your comments. Born 1952, Graduated (Sheffield) 1974, Almost-pilot 1978, Married 1980, Wife Marylyn, two daughters Sarah (1985) and Amy (1991) 30+ years automotive experience with Rolls-Royce (later Bentley) Motors. latterly as Laboratory Manager, ending on a high, taking early retirement in October 2010. Dedicated family man, reasonably travelled. Long-playing, but unspectacular guitarist, incurable fix-it addict, will mend, or attempt to mend anything. Frustrated with what has become of once-Great Britain
