The crowded city bears a life of its own, with individuals and their personal spaces. It is as if they are lost within themselves, rarely affected by their surroundings. Yet every member makes the city what it is, giving the sense of anonymity.



This book documents how people interact with the city; their subconscious disconnections with signs, advertisements, and even others that intend to communicate with them.

I am currently a student at Stony Brook University studying business and digital arts. I was born in China and came to the U.S. in 1995, when I was 8. Through that time, I've lived mainly in New York and a small town in Texas. I guess I have a hard time identifying with others because of that. I like photography and arts because it allows me to put into material what I am thinking. And to tell the truth, I am always thinking. Thinking about me, life, the universe, and everything in between. Finding answers too.
