This book is a record of a 'Great Rail Journey' holiday on the Italian Riviera. The organised excursions explored some of the most stunning resorts on the Ligurian coast, as well as 'The Field of Miracles' in Pisa and the walled city of Lucca. The lovely resorts of Portofino, Camogli, The Cinque Terre ports, Rapallo and Santa Margherita were among the places visited from the hotel based in Sestri Levante, another picturesque town on the Mediteranean coast. The author also explored the towns of Chiavari and Porto Venere on the free days.
