Some of my favorite memories center around our kitchen when I was growing up. It was our common ground. It was always warm and comfortable with wonderful aromas that still play in my mind today. It was a place where my Mom lovingly prepared our meals for the day. She was always there first thing in the morning with a hearty breakfast waiting for me before I marched off to school. She was always there to greet me when I ran home from school to have lunch with her before having to scurry back to finish my day. And she was there every night serving up the best meal that took her all day to prepare. And we would sit together as a family and share the love. Some of my fondest memories are the times I spent with my Mom in the kitchen.

It seems I work non-stop. I am also the president and CEO of a Communications Consulting firm here in Maryland, just outside of Baltimore. So I don't have a lot of free time on my hands. But in my spare time, I obviously enjoy cooking and blogging, but I also love gardening, reading and writing. I am a novice writer that has published 8 cookbooks. I am proud of the fact that some of the proceeds from the sale of all my books go to the homeless and under privileged and some go to support animal rights.
