Maidens of London This is a project of non manipulated photography, mixed media and poetry inspired by the theatrical urban atmosphere of London. Maidens of London is a photographic journey that explores surrealism through poetic urban reflections. The abstraction of Maidens of London explores concepts of philosophy through fine art photography and poems. Episode 1 wants to tap the creative powers of awareness and imagination by uniting illusion with reality. This venture tries to challenge the distinction between consciousness and physical matter, between mind and body. These single exposure photographs are the artist perception of the philosophical aspect of illusion or Maya. Māyā, a sanskrit word, has several interpretations and may be understood as the phenomenal universe of perceived duality. Even though Maya is a controversial concept, episode's 1 approach is to discern duality through abstract reality. In other words these Mannequins represent people and the urban reflections symbolize their soul. This impressions aim to explore the notion of duality as a representation of the physical body and the fine spiritual soul. This book is a symphony of compositions that play with urban mannequins, reflections, fashion, architecture & creative writing. ​ Episode 2 presents compositions of mixed media art and poetry inspired by the theatrical metropolitan ambiance of London. Episode 2 is an abstract exploration of victorian conceptions, designs and shapes fusion with surrealistic photographic dimensions. Maidens of London in Full Moon Bloom is a surreal adventure that gives mannequins their own role as personaes. These mannequins and their personaes have artistic powers. Velvet Maidens of London bloom when is full moon. In full moon these Maidens transform into works that highlight victorian patterns and colorful designs. This project is the artist approach to express the concept of personification with the use of mixed media.
