In 2013, my wife, Melinda Hoyt, and I relocated to live and work in Shanghai, China. In an effort to keep in touch with our family and friends back in the USA we wrote blogs about our daily experiences and I started a photo-a-day project to document our daily life in a foreign culture. The experience opened our eyes to a new way of viewing the world and our place in it.
