New York, NY, USA

Hello! My name is Meredith Pahoulis. I’m a Creative Director and Designer living and working in New York City. I have experience working with large, medium and small businesses, agencies and brands.

My passion is bringing ideas to life. I have extensive experience in executing concepts from start to completion, leveraging and combining all media to promote a brand, including responsive design and UI/UX design for interactive projects. From conceptualizing, designing and prototyping digital products to curating brand experiences. From art directing photoshoots to social media content, I am all about approaching problems from the user and consumer point of view and crafting solutions that combine brand value, experience design and technology.

I’m currently the Associate Creative Director, Digital at Case Agency where I lead the creation of engaging digital experiences (e-commerce and branding websites, digital campaigns and more) for clients, primarily in the luxury and beauty industries.

Prior to Case, I designed at Digitas North America (a Publicis agency) on the American Express account, leading creative development for B2B and B2C initiatives. Prior to Digitas, I was the Digital Art Director at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts where I led website and app design and developed new digital experiences.

Lincoln Center Digital was focused on developing one of a kind, unique consumer experiences online, on mobile devices and physically across a 16-acre campus in Manhattan. Our digital team had the incredible opportunity to build solutions across a broad range of performing arts experiences.

Before Lincoln Center, I designed for the United Nations Secretariat at OCHA (Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) at the headquarters in New York where I oversaw creative for web, online advertising and print. I focused on website design and ideation for global humanitarian crises and assistance for countries such as South Sudan, Syria, Yemen and many others. I designed websites for the Global Humanitarian Appeal 2015 (a consolidated appeal to support people affected by disaster and conflict in Level 4 countries) and for World Humanitarian Data and Trends 2014 which presents country-level data and trend analysis about crises and assistance. I was the lead designer for the Syria Campaign #WhatDoesItTake and for World Humanitarian Day 2015. I also art directed and designed the full report for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia $500 Million Fund to Iraq and oversaw the Arabic version. Both were delivered to the Government of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh; Saudi Mission to the UN in both New York and Geneva; Saudi Embassy in Washington, DC). It was also shared with Member States in New York and heads of agencies at global level.

Before the UN, I was the Art Director of Advertising at Penguin Random House (Knopf Doubleday), arguably the most prestigious division in the publishing world. I art directed and designed top advertising campaigns for best-selling books by author’s such as Haruki Murakami, Toni Morrison, EL James’ 50 Shades of Grey which helped sell over 70 million copies worldwide, Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol, and Stieg Larsson’s crime series “Millennium trilogy” which included The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo, among others.

I have also designed various projects for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Macy’s Fashion Office, Irin News, Kaplan, Riverhead Books, Oxford University Press, and I’m a Dream Team Collaborator at Blurb.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design from The University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I also studied design in Florence, Italy at SACI (College of Art & Design Florence). I have taken continuing education classes at SVA (School of Visual Arts) in web and motion design and I’m an active member of IxDA (Interaction Design Association), The One Club for Creativity, and AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts). I have spoken at New York University.
