Informazioni sul Ebook
Veronica Silveira and Sabino Villalba are traditional, contemporary Mexican master potters from Mata Ortiz, a small village on the outskirts of the Sierra Madre, 20 minutes away from the pre-Colombian ruins of the indigenous Pauma civilization that flourished in the 14th & 15th Century in Northern Chihuahua, Mexico.
Their work provides a powerful link to the Ancients. If we love traditional Southwest pottery, we are excited for the connection their work provides to that history of classic pottery.
Looking at their pottery, we feel their uncompromising loyalty to channeling the Paquime spirits and maintaining the ancient Casas Grandes pottery style alive. They work tirelessly and with total dedication and are transparent about the fact that their work invokes the original pottery of their ancestors.
