Informazioni sul libro
Alphabetical Order is a brief, curious trip through a long, curious life. For each letter of the alphabet, the author creates a piece of art and then offers a brief commentary on the significance of that letter--and the word beginning with that letter--which played a part in his life. I is for Innocence (the author’s own), A is for Arrival (of his family to Ellis Island), X is for Xylophone (the author’s mystical moment with Lionel Hampton). And so on.
Alphabetical Order is not a sentimental memoir. With humor and insight and hard questions, the book invites all of us to examine the episodes of our lives and to try to find a pattern--or to shake our heads at the wonderful randomness of it all.
