Informazioni sul libro
The illustrations are created by scraps of paper cut and arranged to form the day's events Christopher has to endure.
Children and adults alike will enjoy the rhyming nature of the text and the visual impact of the paper images. One of the goals of this book is to introduce some new vocabulary to its young audience through hearing it in the context of the story.
Informazioni sull'autore
I was an elementary school teacher for several years before deciding to tutor full-time. I have always loved children's books and have been able to read my fair share on the job. I also love to work with paper and other artistic mediums. With that foundation, I always knew I would write a children's book at some point; that day finally came with the publication of A Day Without Toast. I live in Michigan with my husband Chris and Miniature Schnauzer, Pancake. You can usually find the three of us enjoying our backyard or the wonderful nature trails in our area. I also like to travel, garden, read, and support the local businesses, restaurants and attractions. I adore animals of all types and use them for my main inspiration in my art and writing. Therefore, I plan on donating a percent of my profits to a national wildlife organization.
