Captain Buddy Ward was a tugboat captain in Charleston, South Carolina, for over thirty years. He is the author of the novel, “Tales of the Anna Karrue” and has published articles in several magazines.

In 2003 he set forth on an adventure of a lifetime. Along with his wife LeeAnne, he left on a five year, twenty-two hundred mile cruise on their forty-one foot sailboat, Evening Star. Along the way, a golden retriever named Skipper joined the crew.

The adventure behind them, they are home now, and Captain Buddy has returned to writing about what he knows best.
