Holly Ross

Hillsboro, MO

Self-taught photographer and Best of Missouri Hands Juried Artist, Holly Ross has explored a wide variety of subjects but always returns to the more natural elements of our world.

Her photos have been described as, "visual poetry...emotions captured in ink and moments caught as if time could be glued to paper." Another has described her work as an "eclectic mixture of soft, near watercolor effects on florals - almost Japanese in delicacy and zen-like in simplicity - contrasted with sharp, clean, linear architectural images."

The wild horses of Shannon County, Missouri have become an area of concentration and she can often be found photographing these beautiful creatures.
