I am a charcoal artist and Illustrator based in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
My style is elegant and trendy, and mostly romanticizes contrasts- Black&white and color, simple and complex, cute and sophisticated.
I grew up in India, studied in the UK, moved to Hong Kong after getting married and then relocated to the US. My husband and I love traveling with our two beautiful boys.
Though I trained as a Computer Engineer and earned my Masters in Business Administration, my heart was always set on creative pursuit. I now have an Etsy shop where I sell my prints, I do art shows in New York/ New Jersey and am one of the Board members of the Claire and Jan Binney Lang Art Foundation in New York City.
I love working with Charcoal. For more simple illustrations I enjoy working with different media like pen and ink, , watercolor and gouache. Surface pattern designing is my new found passion. I take inspiration from my travels and the things I see around me and like to capture it in my work.
