Kat, born on the east coast of Florida, attended Brevard Community College and University of Central Florida before setting out to explore. Traveling through the southern states she ended up in Texas where she settled in for a bit. She raised two children and moved back to Florida in the early 90's.

She's always loved writing and has written an unpublished book after she moved to North Carolina, dealing with the caring of her mother as she fell into the realms of dementia. Falling in love with Western North Carolina she stayed and cared for her father until he passed away in late 2019. She continues to live in Lake Lure North Carolina where she works at a local police department and volunteered as firefighter for several years.
