Pet Portrait artist Carolyn Finnell lives in Mandeville, LA with her husband, Terry. Their charming (translation small and closetless) craftman style home is just two blocks from the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. Carolyn studied Fine Art at Benedictine College and UNO. Though she spent many years as a graphic designer/art director/illustrator, working in advertising and winning Addy Awards, she always intended to return to painting “one of these days”. But after Hurricane Katrina, when her home came within inches of flooding and the roof was miraculously missed by the six trees that came down around it, she began to wonder why she was waiting.
Carolyn now shows her work at Watson Gallery in Atlanta, GA and Jack Meyer Gallery in Houston, TX.
