Danny Portnoy is a Finnish-born photographer living in Israel. Photography has been a lifelong passion, closely connected with his love of travel, nature and discovering new places. Over the years his camera has taken him from dramatic landscapes and historic cities to wildlife, classic automobiles and more abstract subjects.

His photography is guided by light, colour, composition and atmosphere. Careful planning and patience are an important part of his approach, while post-processing allows him to develop each photograph to reflect not simply what was in front of the camera, but how he experienced the scene.

His photo books bring together images from his travels and personal projects, presenting them as collections intended to be enjoyed as complete visual journeys.
