Dr. Jennifer Tanabe earned both her Bachelors (1974) and Doctoral (1978) degrees in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development and has taught graduate level courses at Unification Theological Seminary in Barrytown, New York. She currently works as a freelance educational consultant, editor and writer.

She is married and has one adult daughter. Her husband, Yuichi Tanabe, is an artist (see his art work here), graphic designer, inventor, and musician and hails from Japan. They currently live in the Mid Hudson Valley of New York State with their cats.
