Informazioni sul libro
The book is about my father, Horacio Caminos, an Argentine architect and teacher who started teaching at the Universidad de Tucuman in Argentina where he had to leave surreptitiously because he refused to back the election of Juan Domingo Peron as president of Argentina. He went on to the Architectural Association in London and then to the School of Design at North Carolina State College and finished his career at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He had very strong ideas about teaching.
The writer of the Foreword, Cesar Pelli, is the architect of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, former Dean of the School of Architecture at Yale University and one of Caminos' first student at the University of Tucuman.
The text is in English and Spanish. It presents some of his work through the years and his thoughts on design and teaching.
The book has 180 pages of which half are illustrations.
