Informazioni sul libro
Photographer Samuel Pierre Louis invites you to explore the depths of 'Piman Bouk,' a translation of the Haitian Creole term for 'chilli pepper.' Within these pages, you'll encounter a mesmerizing array of fine art photographs that celebrate the fiery allure of chilli peppers. Some images feature models sensually intertwined with these fiery fruits, while others capture the intense heat and passion they symbolize.
This artistic endeavor commenced on May 15, 2016, with a single model bravely embracing the chili pepper's allure. Over time, more than 15 models joined the studio sessions, often coming together in groups of 5 or 6. The atmosphere was consistently imbued with cheerfulness and professionalism, creating the perfect canvas for creative expression. As Samuel Pierre Louis meticulously edited the photographs, he found himself drawn to the images, using them as inspiration to craft a collection of poetic verses.
Piman Bouk is not merely a coffee table adornment or a typical waiting room book. Its cover, designed to pique curiosity without crossing the boundaries of vulgarity, sets the tone for the unique experience that lies within.
In this one-of-a-kind book, "Piman Bouk" transcends the limits of a traditional photo album by incorporating 24 stimulating poems in creole with a treasure trove of 112 unpublished artistic photos that will undoubtedly awaken and resonate with your senses. These poems, while not explicitly describing the photographs, speak directly to your senses. They explore themes of eroticism, dreams, and sheer joy, enhancing the visual journey with a symphony of words.
