Informazioni sul libro
Hummingbirds are the most enchanting, intriguing, vibrant, and fascinating birds on the planet. They are also the smallest and among the fastest warm-blooded creatures. Hummingbirds are astonishing flying machines with a remarkable and unique ability to fly up and down, forward and backward, creating an incredibly extravagant dance of elegance and precision. They can stay suspended in the air at will and can fly upside down for brief periods of time. Hummingbirds are nimble athletes, performing dazzling pirouettes in an unequaled concert of graceful display of magic in the air. This book bestows a photographic presentation of hummingbirds together with easy-to-read text presenting an overview of the life and behavior of a hummingbird illustrated with more than 380 full color photographs portraying more than 200 species of hummingbirds from North, Central, and South America. This book is a wonderful addition to a birder's library, particularly for those who are hummingbird lovers.
