In 1943, B-17 Co-pilot John Lindquist parachuted out of his B-17 over Germany. He was captured and spent the rest of WW2 in Prisoner of War camp Stalag Luft III. He filled his time by journaling and illustrating daily aspects of POW life and later his release. His son, Norman has updated and edited John's amazing work.
