Informazioni sul libro
In the illuminated bodies series Robin Noorda uses patterns, structures and textures to project as bodypaintings of light. The seasons in nature are the theme for this portfolio and the in France based model is Minh-Ly.
The photographic working process in these series has three creative stages. First he designs, paints or photographs the projection image, than he makes the actual photograph of the model while projecting the pattern image combined with spotlights. Finally extensive grading is been done in postproduction.

The dictionary definition of tropism is: ‘the ability of an organism to direct itself towards a stimulus’. The most common example is phototropism: the plant's ability to turn towards the light. In ancient Greek ‘tropo' means ‘change’ or ‘turn’. Tropism manifests itself in a variation of art domains in order to surprise and perhaps every now and then generate awareness. With art we can fulfil, cheer and enlighten. Tropism is art inflicted by stimuli from nature that shed new light and aims to shift perceptions.
