On the 4th of May 2012 I flew to New York City. Leaving London in the morning and arriving at JFK in the afternoon, I witnessed the pace of two great cities, separated by a vast distance, in the same daylight hours.

There is a version of New York which has been presented by the people who know and love this town. It is an image I have bought from film, music, tv and books. I
was interested to see what my eye would find important, and how my visit would translate as images.
