Carlos Eduardo Plaza, Presidente de 'La FUNDACIÓN GONZALO PLAZA’, en su objetivo de educar a través del arte, y la periodista Venezolana ‘Elina Perez Urbaneja’, siguiendo con su misión de divulgar el diseño hecho por venezolanos, unieron esfuerzos para publicar el libro “CUATRO DÉCADAS, CUATRO DISEÑADORES. A 40 AÑOS DE LA NUEVA ESTAMPILLA VENEZOLANA”.
Entre 1974 y 1979 se dio el proyecto “La nueva estampilla venezolana” en el marco de la modernización del correo de Venezuela, que dirigió Gonzalo Plaza, junto a un equipo de trabajo en el que estaban los diseñadores Gerd Leufert, Nedo Mion Ferrario, Álvaro Sotillo y Santiago Pol.
El trabajo que le dio a los timbres fiscales de Venezuela sentido representativo, fue reconocido internacionalmente, al punto de ser premiado en la Exposición Mundial de Timbres Postales en 1978, año en el que también se hizo una exposición de los sellos en la Galería de Arte Nacional (GAN).

‘Carlos Eduardo Plaza, President of THE GONZALO PLAZA FOUNDATION’, in his objective of educating through art, and ‘Elina Perez Urbaneja’, a Venezuelan journalist, whose mission is to promote Design made by Venezuelans, joined forces to publish the book “CUATRO DÉCADAS, CUATRO DISEÑADORES. A 40 AÑOS DE LA NUEVA ESTAMPILLA VENEZOLANA”.
Between 1974 and 1979, the project “La nueva estampilla venezolana” took place within the framework of the modernization of the Venezuelan postal service, directed by Gonzalo Plaza, together with a work team that included the designers Gerd Leufert, Nedo Mion Ferrario, Álvaro Sotillo and Santiago Pol.
The work that gave the stamps of Venezuela a representative meaning was recognized internationally, to the point of being awarded at the World Exhibition of Postal Stamps in 1978, the year in which an exhibition of the stamps was also held in the Galería de Arte Nacional (GAN).
