Mary Irene McGuire Cragg lived at 2330 Curzon Street before her marriage to Bertram Harry Cragg during the war in London England. On the occasion of her marriage, her relatives on her maternal side, from the farm at Hillcrest preparing this cookbook.
It seems as though this was a collaborative effort with many friends aunts and neighbours of the Chisholm family. Interspersed between the pages of the cookbook, several letters, cutouts of printed recipes, and others from magazines, have been included. However, these recipes were not ever had written into the book. It could be that these recipes were collected by Mary Cragg during her lifetime.
Filled with recipes, traditions, and tips for cooking -this recipe book has been a treasure in our family for well over 50 years.

She resides in Ottawa, Canada where she lives with husband and coaching author Matthew Cragg in a home known to many as 'Little Japan'. Her work with Tea Ceremonies is featured in National Geographic's 2015 book "Travel Abroad at Home" (p. 73) as one of the top 4 places to experience tea ceremony in North America.
