The House on the Rock, located in Spring Green, Wisconsin, has been called everything from “The Most Amazing Place on Earth” to “Tacky Americana.” The various opening lines at the beginning of this collection of images were compiled from online reviews from the past several years. I know how I feel about this place but have been on a quest to understand the view of others. Whether people love The House on the Rock or hate it, there is certainly no shortage of opinions. One of my favorite quotes I encountered was a “House of Spectacle and Wonder” as this would closely align with my own opinion. Though much can be said to describe the place, words could never really capture its essence.
