It has taken me over six years to compile these sixty stories, each perfected through countless revisions. They cover accounts of some of the things that went wrong, not quite to plan, the unexpected, the unusual, the one-offs, the downright weird, the unbelievable but true, the scrapes, and the adventures that stretched me and took me to the edge, during fifty years of travel in around 150 countries. Each story contains one or two photographs to help illustrate the events and experiences and is sprinkled with a splash of humour throughout, amounting to a 440-page mammoth undertaking.
