It was both a privilege and great fun to photograph the wedding of Parth and Cheta Patel on February 10, 2008 at Kadi near Ahmedabad, Gujarat in western India. . There was a professional photographer there who knew what was going on. I was a clueless American who was stimulated by the glorious color and spectacle of a beautiful Indian wedding. So these photographs are not so much a record of the wedding as an American's impressions of a Gujarati wedding including the decorations, the guests and the food. I was grateful for the opportunity to photograph the wedding freely and thank Parth and Cheta for letting me be there.
