This a collection of Photo/Art pieces that demonstrate Blended Connections. These images are intuitive creations. They should not be looked at, studied, or figured out. My intention is that they should be absorbed like an experience. I hope that they suggest what can occur, in a contemplative state of mind when one allows the ambient sounds to stimulate, but not engage, your consciousness. It is disengagement of the ego by engaging in a multi-tactical experience of our inner sight and associated feeling. All the images used in the compositions are ones that I created, past and present, during my career as a photographer. The Haiku poems are not descriptive of the image but, rather, are meant to appeal to the ear and intellect as the images appeals to the eye and feelings.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a double major in History and Theater Arts. After school I enlisted in the Air Force. During my 6-year tour I achieved the rank of E-5, lived in Germany for 3 1/2 years, and worked as a PJ specialist (photojournalist) in the European theater. After the service I began working for the Chicago Tribune, first as a photojournalist and eventually specializing, during my 36-year career, as a feature and studio photographer for the newspaper. I traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia during my career. I retired in 2015, but I continue to be an active photographer. I am married and have two grown sons. In addition, I have been writing poetry for over twenty years. I have had work appear in multiple small publications including “Father Gander Rhymes and Other Poems – 2” and “The Comstock Review”.
