Jim Ziemer has spent the majority of his working life in the construction business. He has always had a love of fishing and hunting and was introduced to surf fishing in the early 1970's by his brother. As a thank you gift for lending him the equipment for his first surf fishing trip to the Outer Banks, he wrote this poem of the surf on a drawing of the lighthouse. After retirement and finding time to develop his art, and with thanks to the addition of many beautiful photographs taken by his daughter on her first surf fishing trip with him, he decided to put this photo book together with the poem. He is an accomplished artist as well as a dabbler in writing.
